If there ever was a real world version of Tony Stark/Iron Man, it would have to be Ellon Musk. He's got the right speech, is a well known "genius, billionaire, philanthropist" and looks buff enough to put on the red and gold armor. Tesla's CEO was even busted by the police with he was hanging out with the guy who voices Jarvis. But wait, that's not even the half of this story!
Johnny Depp recently told the funniest story ever to involve the Tesla Model S. Apparently, Captain Sparrow was having a swell ol' time in a Tesla Model S with Ellon Musk, film director Wally Pfister and actors Rebecca Hall and Paul Bettany.
You might know him as the voice actor of Jarvis, Tony Stark's computerized assistant. And get this, Bettany was sittng in Depp's lap. Only in Hollywood.
“I had one of the best experiences I've ever had. The director (Pfister) introduced me to Elon Musk at Tesla. He came and visited the set and we had a ride around in his car but then the police pulled us over. We had a first - maybe the first -Tesla jam,” Depp tells The Sun.
"I was in the front seat while Paul Bettany was sitting on my lap. Rebecca (Hall) and Wally (Pfister) were in the back. Elon was driving and we were pulled over speeding (sic)... Elon had a good sense of humour about it. The cop did not. He needed a humour chip. But it was a good time, nonetheless," he goes on to say.
Pfister and Depp are old friends and are now collaborating on the new sci-fi mystery "Transcendence". Wally Pfister used to be a cinematographer who brought us a number of notable Chris Nolan flicks. The movie which marks his directorial debut is about a terminally ill scientist who uploads his brain into a computer. Sounds like the perfect movie to feature a Tesla in, right?
