The bike has received upgrades and McGuinness will attempt the highest podium place this year, after finishing second in 2012. The competition is really tough as McGuinness will have to beat no other than Michael Sutter, his TT Legends team mate, TT Zero champion in 2011 and 2012, and Mark Miller of MotoCzysz, the 2010 winner.

Team Mugen is rather secretive about the tech specs of the Shinden Ni electro-beast, and only says the 2013 bike has received a new chassis and powertrain, with the bodywork being yet to be finalized. The Shinden Ni was the heaviest eBike on the Mountain Course in last year's race, and Mugen adds they're building a lighter version for 2013. Via Asphalt and Rubber.
