We recently had an article about Joey Hand here on our blog, showing you that being a race car driver is, for most of the guys that drive for BMW teams, a dream come true. For us, the ones that are stuck behind a TV every other weekend, watching them, seeing a lap from their point of view is the closest we can get to a real-life race.
Before the Laguna Seca Raceway six-hour ALMS Monterey race took place, back in May 2012, Joey took the time to record a lap of the famous track, using a prototype visor camera and therefore giving us an incredible insight to what’s going on inside a race car during a race.
He was driving the No. 56 BMW M3 GT, before the Z4 made its appearance for the 2013 season. As he is a great guy too, he also took the time to explain what he was doing behind the wheel, for all of you guys out there that own an M3 and later decide to take it to the Laguna Seca too. Enjoy!
