Jim Carrey’s Spoof of Matthew McConaughey’s Lincoln Ads are Hilarious

As the third time hosting NBC’s Saturday Night Live show, Jim Carrey has built up quite a spoof, basically mocking Matthew McConaughey’s Lincoln ads, this weekend. In a series of hilarious short clips, the famous actor is seen asking some deep questions while driving Lincoln’s MKC sport utility vehicle.

Not that we don’t like the Interstellar actor, but we have to admit the famous comedian has a point when stating you don’t do a Lincoln ad after you win an Oscar. The long line of funny questions continues with Jim Carrey having some amusing dilemmas such as “Who am I? Why am I here? When I’m done rolling up this booger should I eat it or throw it out the window?”

In case you didn’t know, the running bit is actually a spoof of a spoof, as the Lincoln ads are a play on McConaughey’s “True Detective” character Rust Cohle.

Ford's luxury division is reinventing itself

However, Ford’s luxury division is in the middle of reinventing both its image and its vehicles after years of struggling with low sales, so it’s no wonder they went for the big guns for their new SUV.

The campaign’s not screaming for attention, it’s as much about the tone, the mood, the silent moments between the words and in between the dialogue,” McConaughey said in a preview video released by Lincoln a couple of months ago.

We’re not really that good in Hollywood celebrities’ way of making jokes on each other, but if there is one person who will do it best this is definitely Jim Carrey. Things really get off the hook with the surprise appearance of Keenan Thompson who’s playing Allstate spokesman Dennis Haysbert. We’re not going to spoil it for you, but let’s just say in his prfound driving experience Carrey unwillingly takes him for a ride.
