Killer custom West Coast choppers are definitely the very first thing which comes to someone’s mind when they hear the name of Jesse James. A synonym to the custom chopper culture itself, Jesse James is doubtlessly one of the most influential bike builders in the modern history of bespoke two-wheelers, but you should know that he’s got a very strong passion for 4-wheeled racing, and this August you can watch him drive, fly, crash and hopefully win at the TORC: The Off-Road Championship Presented by AMSOIL in Sturgis.
For more than 30 years, Jesse James has been a constant presence in Sturgis at the biggest rally in the US, but he has also been racing off-road trucks for a decade or so. Whether taking part in desert or short-course dirt races, Jesse James is no stranger to this sport: ”For the last decade I’ve been driving trophy trucks, but driving a PRO 2WD in the TORC Series is an all-out battle. We’re bumpin’ and bangin’, tearing doors off and hoods off from contact. These trucks jump 200 feet in the air at speeds over 100MPH. It’ll be some of the best racing these people have ever seen.”

Jesse James will be behind the wheel of a 900 hp PRO 2WD race truck prepared by Troy Retclaff, with Kurt Greaves, brother of PRO 4WD TORC Champion Johnny Greaves, as his crew chief, and he will be at the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, S.D. on August 5-6. The Buffalo Chip has prepared an all-new exciting track for the 2014 TORC event.

As for those who said that Jesse James accident was only faked to draw attention, you can observe he is indeed missing a part of his finger, around 0:22.
