Remember that time Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno drove that extremely rare Porsche 356/2 from 1949 in last year’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee season? Well, we’re about to see something similar in the new season the comedian is currently shooting since he just posted an image of another Porsche 365 that failed to work and was towed back home.
OK, we’re going to be honest with you folks, it’s not that great like last year’s celebrity. Last time, we were talking about a true piece of history that is quite rarely seen on the road. Seinfeld chose this classic breed out of his tremendous Porsche collection in order to celebrate a somewhat special occasion considering it was Jay Leno himself invited on his internet-broadcasted show.

“Hand-built in Gmund, everything’s original,” the Porsche collector said, pointing to the engraving inside the car that clearly showed it’s the number 40. And it’s a very impressive number, considering Ferry Porsche and his team only made 52 models 66 years ago. We can still remember that episode like we watched it an hour ago. Seinfeld and Leno were totally enjoying themselves as they would drive the classic Porsche through California and reminisce about the beginnings of their careers.

Regardless, we might have gotten a bit carried away here. The point is, Jerry Seinfeld has once again appealed to the flavor only a classic beauty like the Porsche 356 can offer for the new season of his Comedian in Cars Getting Coffee show. Unfortunately, this particular model apparently couldn’t make it to the finish line, being towed to HQ instead.

Will we actually get to see the car in one of the future episodes? That’s an answer we’re going to have to wait for.
