Jermaine Dupri, a music figure knows for his activity as a record company owners, artist and producer seems to be less successful when it comes to cars. We’re not talking about what he drives, but rather about how he finances what he drives.
Dupri wanted to get himself a Lamborghini Murcielago back in 2006 and, while this was an excellent choice, he needed financial support to make the supercar his own. Thus, he turned to Premier Financial Serivces (PFS), which offered him a loan of $70,000 (EUR53,850 at the current exchange rates), with the artist set to make 58 monthly payments of $4,323 (EUR3,325) each.
However, it seems that that the last payment was made in 2009, as TMZ writes. Thus, PFS repossessed the Murcielago and subsequently for $115,000 (EUR88,450), a sum that was considered insufficient for the financial institution.
As a result, PFS is suing Dupri for the $79,095 (EUR60,840) difference between the calculated value of the car and its sale value. However, the two sides could reach an agreement to settle the matter before it heads to court.
