Jeremy Clarkson might be funny on Top Gear, but the TV presenter would be the last celebrity in the world Brits would take with them for a driving adventure. A recent survey perfected by Continental tires places Clarkson at the top of the “leave behind” celebrity list for a 4x4 drive across the Sahara Desert. He was followed by Katie Price and Prime Minister David Cameron, who came pretty close.
The poll, which included 2,000 motorists reveals that a good sense of humor is seen as being more important than motoring knowledge or survival skills. The research was conducted as part of the preparation for the launch of the 2012 Conti 4x4 Trophy, which will see participants drive a Hummer across the Sahara Desert.
