Jeremy Clarkson Suspended by BBC "Following a Fracas with Producer", Sunday's Top Gear Delayed

BBC has decided to suspend the lead singer of the Top Gear group following a scandal with one of the state network's producers today. It appears the argument is quite serious since they also announced that this Sunday's Top Gear episode will not broadcast anymore.

The announcement was made minutes before writing this article and it's still not clear what happened. According to the BBC, the corporation said the Jeremy had been suspended "pending an investigation". "No one else has been suspended. Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday," the network said. They added  no further comments will be made until further notice.

The decision might seem quite surprising, but this is far from being the first time Clarkson would get involved in an internal scandal with the network. The most recent one we can think of was when Jeremy compared the reprisals the Top Gear team got in the South American country to what happened in Paris with the horrific Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack.

"After the H982 FKL debacle in Argentina, many commentators said that because Top Gear had offended the locals, we deserved the reprisals. Strange then that just a month later, the very same commentators were saying that the cartoonists on Charlie Hebdo magazine were perfectly entitled to offend whoever they liked,” the BBC star wrote in his weekly Sun Motors column.

Then there were last year’s Ofcom investigations over potentially racist Burma special remarks, where the N-word was used, plus many other scandals in which Jeremy Clarkson made headlines.

Clarkson did say a new presenter for Top Gear is wanted

When Jeremy Clarkson tweeted a post last month saying a presenter for Top Gear is wanted we thought this is a joke. But judging by recent events it appears that the man who has been on the Top Gear team for the last 13 years knew the network's producers were on to something.

UPDATE: RadioTimes says that "the three remaining episodes of Top Gear series 22 have been pulled from the schedules." Clarkson was suspended because he aimed "a punch at a male producer." Oh dear...
