From teasing us with the upcoming 911 GT3 RS or the future flat four turbo engines, Porsche has been quite busy lately. Apparently, the German engineers aren’t the only ones working overtime these days, with Top Gear also developing a Porsche thing of its own.
Clarkson was recently spotted driving a Porsche for the next Top Gear season, the one aficionados know as “No. 22”. We’ll remind you that, last month, the presenter used his Twitter account to let it slip that work on the fresh season started.
Jeremy isn’t particularly known for his love of Zuffenhausen machines, with a few exceptions such as the Carrera GT. As a result, you shouldn’t imagine the Top Gear man was concerned about some Porsche you can find in the showroom. Instead, Clarkson was seen driving a Porsche 944... ambulance.
To make things even more odd, the Porsche is wearing an almost-Gulf livery. By the way this is not even the first 944 forced to go though a DIY-style transformation by Top Gear. We’re talking about the TG Porsche Challenge, where May drove a cheap 944.
Yes, this is an ambulance challenge we have here, with the other two rides being a Ford Scorpio and what seems like a 1980s GMC G-Series van, something similar to the automotive star of the A-Team series.
Clarkson recently tweeted about Hammond crashing, so expect the usual Top Gear stuff for this challenge.
