Turn 10 Studios has had the brilliant idea of using Clarkson’s voice for an action-packed, Aston Martin-drifting, police chase-including Forza Motorsport 4 trailer.
However, the Top Gear star is somehow telling us that the real world, where you find congestion, eco activists and road police, is not a place for automotive enthusiasts anymore and that we should all take refuge in our living rooms, where we can use 1s and 0s to mimic the emotions we get in real cars.
We appreciate driving games, but we’ll never allow them to be advertised as substitutes for proper driving - future car aficionados shall not be exiled to the digital world.
