Jenson Button's Honda RA106-4 F1 Car For Sale at a Bargain Price

Have you ever wanted your own Formula One car, not necessarily to drive but actually own what is arguably the fastest single-seater on the planet at any given time?

Yes? Because we have some great news for you, in the shape of a Honda RA106-4 from 2006, which not coincidentally marked the first time Honda has returned to Formula One as a full team and not a constructor since 1968.

No, we are not giving it away but we did find it for sale at an oddly reasonable price on eBay, with the seller only asking GBP 75,000.00 for it, which would make it around $125,651.25 at the current exchange rate.

Naturally, like almost all F1 cars that have been for sale over the years, this Honda doesn't have an engine, nor a steering wheel or electrics, but it does have the original transmission, meaning that if you find a compatible powerplant you can have a running Formula 1 car from the last naturally-aspirated engine era.

In other words, even though initially was powered by a 2.4-liter V8 with around 750 hp, now it is just a rolling chassis, but the cool factor is still there.

But wait, there is more! As some of you know, Honda ran with Jenson Button and Rubens Barichello in 2006, but this exact car was driven by Jenson for at least seven races from the season. In other words, you can buy a Formula One car with a pedigree, one that has been driven by an F1 champion.

The car's best finish was third on the Malaysian Grand Prix, so a podium doesn't make it 100 percent winning-less in our book, especially since it managed to score a fair amount of points during the season.

With that being said, the model is apparently residing at a “comprehensive and extensive collection in Holland” (The Netherlands), but can be shipped to any location if enough moolah is received by the handler. What engine would you put in it if you had it?
