Chelsea Truck Company, a specialist in tuning off-roaders, has unveiled its latest kit for the Jeep Wrangler.
They call it the CJ300 Black Hawk Edition, and it is based on a 2.8-liter Diesel Jeep Wrangler Sahara. As with all of the creations from the Chelsea Truck Company, this model has received the touch of Afzal Kahn. Only 50 examples will be built, and each modded version of the Jeep model starts at 52,000 GBP (approx. $77,000).
The first one is finished in “Volcanic Rock Satin,” and comes with a new front fascia. The headlights come with a shadow chrome look, and horizontal LED running lights have been installed. Also in the front, the hood is vented, and the front grille has a different mesh.
Both front and rear wings have been widened, and come with integrated vents. The tuning specialists have installed a set of side mirrors, a new full filler cap, and a quad cross-hair exhaust, with 100-mm tailpipes.
The rims are finished in satin black and come with “Liquid Gold”-painted brake calipers. The spare wheel cover is also made by the Chelsea Truck Company. Customers also get the Kahn Power Upgrade, a unit which is just plugged in the ECU to provide more power, enhance fuel economy, and improve power delivery.
On the inside is where this car literally shines. While hidden from plain sight through tinted privacy glass, the Black Hawk comes with a quilted leather interior. The upholstery is perforated leather with honeycomb stitching.
Specialists at Chelsea Truck Company have fitted leather even in the center glove box, arm rests, and roof lining. The front seats have been replaced with aftermarket units that provide more comfort and support. Customers are invited to share their preferences so that they can obtain an interior customized to their wishes.
Other minute changes have been applied, like fitting a set of machined aluminum foot pedals, stainless steel sill plates, and matching mud flaps. Each of the 50 cars will receive a numbered plaque on the inside to certify its belonging in the particular series.
