Jeep Unveils Nameless All-Black Jeep Grand Cherokee

Jeep has taken advantage of the 2012 Houston Auto Show and 2012 Washington D.C. Auto Show to reveal a ‘production-intent’ concept that turns the Grand Cherokee into a stealthy vehicle with street-cred.

The vehicle is based on the Laredo X version of the popular SUV and features a Platinum Chrome finish that has to be among the deepest shades of black out there. Everything from the grille, to the wheels, headlamp bezels and even the windows have been blacked out.

The vehicle is ready and all it needs is a really cool name. That’s where you come in, as Jeep has started an online contest at Jeep.com/namemyride. Three finalists will be chosen by them and then the internet will vote to decided the final winner, who will get a Cherokee all of his own.

“We plan to garner feedback from consumers at the Houston Auto Show, and via our online Jeep ‘Name My Ride’ contest,” said Jeep CEO, Mike Manley. “If the level of excitement is what we anticipate, this new Grand Cherokee will be in Jeep showrooms this spring.”
