When you're a company that produces 4x4 vehicles, it doesn't really matter what season we're in or what season is next, you're pretty much ready for anything. But when your most iconic vehicle is famous for its transformer ability to turn into a convertible with the removal of some panels, it's clear you'll always have a soft spot for summer.
This year, though, the summer won't just mean the usual combination of beach, sea, sun, and fun, it's also when another edition of the Olympics will take place. Held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the 2016 games will see the US Basketball team fight for another chance at what people refer to as the most coveted prize in the world of sports: the Olympic gold medal. Paul George, the NBA All-Star guard/forward for the Indiana Pacers, will be one of the team's members.

Before he gets out on the courts in Brazil to try and dominate his opponents, Paul has been drafted for the latest Jeep campaign that seeks to position the US company's products as the "official vehicles of summer." The claim is helped by the recent addition of special edition models that showcase open-air movement, bold style and an adventurous spirit, created to celebrate Jeep's 75th anniversary.

The new campaign consists of several online and print materials, but the centerpieces are the two video spots. The first is called "4x4Summer" and features a new, adapted version of the "4x4ever" track performed by Morgan Dorr. It's basically a collage of all the cool things one can do in the summer - and only in the summer - with a few appearances of the Jeep cars. It's something of a summer hymn that will undoubtedly catch on with the kind of people who like to spend their nights on the beach, surrounded by friends.

The second one - called "What I Stand 4" - features US Basketball Men's National Team finalist Paul George, who gives us a short glimpse into his life story. The clip will weigh even more to those who remember that back in 2014, Paul suffered a terrible injury to one of his legs, but he managed to overcome, and now he's back in the game at the highest level.

"We are excited to share the summer with our global fans and followers, who have all helped to shape the legacy of our brand,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand and Ram Brand, FCA – Global.
