Jeep Rocks & Road Tour Reaches Westfield

The fifth stop of the Jeep Rocks & Road Tour will take place this weekend (August 20-August 22) at the 2010 Westfield International Air Show, an event organized at the Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield, Massachusetts.

As was the case with all the previous stops, the event will be the perfect venue for Jeep fans to experience the brand and all that it stands for. The carmaker will host on- and off-road driving tests for attendees (registration required, you can do so by accessing the following link), with Chrysler staff to put the visitors through various courses, including one containing several obstacles that simulate the testing Jeep vehicles have to go through before being approved.

The course features elements that showcase the Trail Rated capabilities of Jeep vehicles for articulation, ground clearance, maneuverability and traction. Steep grades, rocky trails and log crossings are also part of the menu.

“We have created the Jeep Rocks & Road Tour to provide our current and potential customers with an adventurous experience that is exclusive to the Jeep brand,” Mike Manley, Jeep CEO said when the tour was launched back in July.

“This tour provides an ideal venue to experience the countless features and legendary capability offered in the all-new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well as the other vehicles in the Jeep brand family.”

There are another five stops left in the tour, with the last one to take place at the Forth Worth Alliance Air Show in Forth Worth, Texas, on October 29. Next week, the tour will make a stop at the Offutt Defenders of Liberty Air Show in Omaha, Nebraska.
