Having set a new all-time global sales record in 2013, with more than 700,000 units delivered, it's not surprising that the Jeep brand has just announced its best January sales ever. Despite the bad weather that affected most US manufacturers last month.
With 41,910 vehicle sold last month, Jeep sales went up 38 percent compared to January 2013, marking the brand's best January sales ever and the largest percentage sales gain of any Chrysler Group brand for the month.
Jeep's best-selling production was the Grand Cherokee, with 12,207 units delivered (up 10%), followed by the brand new 2014 Cherokee (10,505 examples) and the Wrangler model (9,553 units / up 8 percent).
The Compass model returned the highest year-over-year gain with 31 percent (4,068 units), while Patriot sales went up six percent to 5,577 vehicles.
