Jed Mildon Does a Quadruple Backflip, Rewrites BMX History

Some used to say that doing anything else on a bike or motorcycle than riding it like your grandma did was crazy and way too risky. Well, it may be so, but we should never forget that taking risks is a thing some people do for a living.

A quadruple backflip on a BMX bicycle maybe sounds unbearable to the former chaps, but it definitely is a holy grail for the latter. And because in the real life, the sky is the limit, some of the best and boldest BMX riders gathered at Pastranaland, the magic stunt kingdom of the two-wheeled tricks god himself, Travis Pastrana.

The stakes were as big as it gets: becoming the first rider in history that lands a quadruple backflip... and walks away. James Foster, Jed Mildon, Ethen Roberts, Chad Kagy, Matt Hoffman have all ben present at Pastrana's Nitro Circus park, watching the biggest names in BMX taking their shot at glory.
Pastrana's heritage only grows bigger
In the end, it was Jed Mildon whose name will be remembered as the first rider to do a quadruple backflip. Honestly, Travis Pastrana has all the reasons in the world to feel accomplished.

After adding his own name to the history books of motorcycling with his fist double backflip, Pastrana has also become a source of inspiration to new generations of riders and his incessant support for those seeking the greater glory has also led to amazing achievements.

Late in April we introduced to you Josh Sheehan and his mind-boggling triple backflip on a motorbike, also on the premises of Pastrana's veritable "stunt farm".

Something tells us that it won't be too long until other riders decide to have their own crown and design taller, crazier ramps to help them add that extra turn to make history once again.

A quadruple backflip looks already very insane, while a quintuple one sounds downright ludicrous. Still, we bet this new stunt is on its way...
