The 2014 Formula One season was one of many changes. Maybe the most dramatic was the change from the N/A 2.4 V8 to the so-called 1.6-liter turbo hybrid power unit. But the king single seater motorsport was changed by other elements as well.
Unlike any other F1 era, 2014 saw a grid full of rookies. Most of them got their seats after mommy and daddy lobbied or convinced the teams with their bank accounts, which is not cool at all. To boot, most rookie drivers have a hard time running with the pack due to the lack of experience in a Formula 1 racecar.
After Ferrari confirmed Sebastian Vettel will jump ship to Ferrari and the Scuderia’s main man signed with McLaren for 2015, F1’s transfer market is as hot as ever even if the 2014 season just ended.
Toro Rosso driver Jean-Eric Vergne recently tweeted that he’ll “not drive anymore for Toro Rosso.”
Scuderia Toro Rosso newcomer Daniil Kvyat started racing this year and got just 8 points, yet he’s going to replace Sebastian Vettel at Red Bull next year. WT actual F, Formula 1?
As if that wasn’t enough of a bummer, Toro Rosso recently confirmed 17-year-old Max Verstappen will drive for the team next year, while the other seat will most probably be awarded to Carlos Sainz Jr., the son of two-time winner of the World Rally Championship Carlos Sainz.
On an ending note, we’ll miss Vergne and we’re hoping the new talent will live up to expectations. If the newbies don’t deliver, then the joke’s on you, Toro Rosso. Money talks, but talent talks even louder.

Despite 51 career points, with 22 won the current season, Vergne is ready “for another big challenge.”
Is he referring to another F1 team or a stint in the World Endurance Racing championship? Nothing is clear at the present moment, but you won’t like the background of this surprise ousting.Scuderia Toro Rosso newcomer Daniil Kvyat started racing this year and got just 8 points, yet he’s going to replace Sebastian Vettel at Red Bull next year.
