Jean-Claude Van Damme Does Epic Splits Between Reversing Trucks

Filmed in Spain on a closed landing filed, the famous butt kicker from yesteryear Jean-Claude Van Damme carries out the most epic of epic splits off the mirrors of two reversing trucks.

Van-Damme's balance is almost unreal, but Volvo assures us this stunt is as real as the sunrise behind him. If you have the blood of an engineer flowing through his piston rings, the second video below will explain why Dynamic Steering system is important.

If it's hamsters driving trucks or bulls chasing one in the city, Volvo has done plenty of other stunts to enjoy.

Since we are here discussing all type of mad stunts that involve cars and, why not, speed, we figured we need to mention a couple of similar ventures that went on throughout the years.

We just remembered Tanner Foust’s world record jump back in 2011, at the Indianapolis 500 event. Toy-carmaker Hot Wheels backed it up, and it involved building up speed while flying down a huge ramp that was made to resemble the classic orange plastic of a Hot Wheels playset. The custom-built truck traveled 332 feet before coming down for an impressive landing.

Then, there’s the Mini Countryman doing a backflip earlier this year that we also found quite interesting. As if the stunt itself wouldn’t be enough, there also was the scenic Alpine setting that clearly garnered a lot of attention for Guerlain Chicherit, the French rally driver who pulled off the stunt.

Sure, we could mention any of Ken Block’s recent moves or the things they do with the F1 cars sometimes, but we’ll keep this subject opened for a different conversation for another time.
