Jay Leno Visits McLaren, Takes His MP4-12C for a Spin

We just showed you Jay Leno’s drive test with the awesomely entertaining Morgan Threewheeler, but it’s time to bring you something at the other end of the awesome spectrum: a proper British supercar, the first one of its king in quite while if you ask us. We are of course talking about the all-new McLaren MP4-12C, a car that’s as cool as its name is hard to pronounce.

Right now the MP4 12C is on sale, and just like Hamilton and Button, Leno is also among the few to get a sit behind the wheel of the early prototype versions. Like the Formula One racers, the TV host will also be the proud owner of the new McLaren, as he has placed an order for one of these supercars.

Jey also gets to visit the McLaren Test Center in Britain, where the new supercar was developed in sterile conditions that would make even a virus laboratory jealous. This isn’t his first time there, as Leno was there to see the first versions of the car a few years back.

Ever the comedian, Leno gives Charlie Sheen a bit of advice: loose the coke and hookers and by one of these bad boys.

The video also presents the ever-passionate host then takes a few lessons in order to get familiar with the best techniques of driving this car in the way that the supercar maker envisioned. Basically, the “civilian”, as he describes himself, learns what all the electronic bits on the car help with, then proper track lines, braking late and accelerating out of a corner.

Button also had the honor to drive the MP4-12C GT3 race car in the race car’s dynamic world debut. So we think that the F1 star has one awesome McLaren drive more than Mr. Leno right now.
