Jay Leno to Introduce the 2011 Jaguar XJ

The long awaited 2011 Jaguar XJ is only one day away from its official launch, which will take place tomorrow in London. To give us yet another reason to keep an eye out for the XJ, Jaguar has announced today that the new Cat will be introduced to the world by none other than Jay Leno, who will join Mike O’Driscoll, Jaguar's managing director, at the Saatchi Gallery.

Alongside with this announcement, Jaguar has also let slip the first details regarding the car itself. According to the release and in line with what we already suspected, the XJ will be powered by the ultra-efficient third generation petrol and diesel engines, including the supercharged V6 diesel, which develops a whooping 510 hp.

Jaguar has also confirmed that the XJ will come in a choice of both standard and long wheelbase models. By their accounts, the new XJ "will introduce the highest standards of personal luxury and specification, including an innovative panoramic glass roof."

The other thing we know about the XJ, even if it may look of little significance, is the fact that it comes fitted with a Bowers&Wilkins sound system. Unfortunately, besides how great, how stunning and how unique the system is, no real details about the system (such as power, the number of speakers) have been disclosed.

We must say, Jaguar chose an interesting way of boosting interest for the new Jaguar. Even if they seem a bit outclassed by Bentley's 9 episode long teaser series for the upcoming Grand Bentley, we can't help but looking forward to seeing the full details of the 2011 Jaguar XJ tomorrow.
