On today’s episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, he brings us an amazing 1918 Cadillac Type 57 Victoria. With the exception of a few touches, the vehicle is completely unrestored, meaning it’s got the original wood spoked wheels, the original paint and the original interior, all looking as perfect as they were almost 100 years ago.
Jay says this the first mass-produced American V8, and interestingly, the Cadillac brand started out basically as the Ford Motor Company until the board of directors bought Henry Ford out due to disagreements.

The old Cadillac is the sort of car that you either love or you don’t understand. Everything about it is special and beautiful from a mechanical point of view. All the bodies were hand-built by Fisher, the Type 51 this is based on was the first left-hand driver Cadillac.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
