Jay Leno Drives 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

Jay Leno got all steamy-eyed and nostalgic with his first review of the 2013 Ford Mustang GT500, paying tribute to the now late Carroll Shelby, who has left a deep impact on the automotive world with his work.
Jay is the first celebrity to get behind the wheel of the brand new 2013 mode, which thanks to its new 5.8-liter 662 horsepower V8 is now a 200 miler per hour car.

Ford SVT Chief Engineer Jamal Hameedi delivers both the Shelby and the Boss 302 to Jay’s garage for him to review.

This is the car that we’ll forever associate the late Carroll Shelby with from the modern age, a true supercar-pony breed for the modern age, fitted with launch control that takes into account everything from driver preference to road conditions. You’ve also got Brembo brakes and Recaro seats, plus a sportier exhaust note.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
