Jay Leno Checks Out Vision Gran Turismo

If there's one thing I respect Mercedes for, it's that they like to cut loose and go wild, both with cars that are overpowered and ones that are overdesigned. Their long, low and elegant silver arrows never disappoint and also pack an unreasonable punch.

Designed exclusively for Gran Turismo 6, the concept Mercedes has wowed the world and proves cars don't need to to appear in the Avengers to make a concept car famous. Drawing inspiration from all-time greats like the W196 or the 300 SL, this concept for the Play Station world is the immaculate conception of the digital world.

TV funny guy and all-round car buff Jay Leno recently welcomed the Vision into his workshop and he placed it right next to the 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado, his own custom car that's been digitized and can be played with ever since Gran Turismo 4.

The strange thing about Mercedes' Vision concept is that there's no driver's seat, and that's because it's a full scale remote control car. How would you like to be on top of tall building, drifting this thing through an intersection?

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
