Jay Leno Checks Out McLaren MP4-12C Spider

Jay Leno dropped the denim for a suite when he went down to Pebble Beach this year. But we’re not here to talk about fashion, we’re here to talk about a supercar, one that Jay actually owns.
It seems like all Jay’s money goes to cars or charity, and one of those cars that he bought is the new McLaren supercar, the MP4-12C. He owns 2012 model year coupe, so naturally, the 2013 model year got his attention.

Together with McLaren’s Design Director Frank Stephenson, Leno takes around not only the convertible model, but also a one-off racing car called the 12C Can-Am Edition.

The McLaren MP4-12C Spider only weighs 40 kg more than the coupe and has a carbon fiber roof that closes in 17 seconds.

The best think is that it’s a 2013 mode year, so its twin-turbo V8 makes 625 PS, basically more than anything else in this class.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
