Jay Leno Checks Out Lamborghini Tractor

Some of us who are unlucky or simply forget to “train our wives” end up with the wrong Lamborghini!
Thankfully, that means that you can bring the coolest tractor ever seen onto a car show. This owner was a member of the Lamborghini fan club for 15 years, but his wife wouldn’t let him buy a real one. And so, he bought the only Raging Bull he could afford, a tractor.

Before he ever made a single supercar, Ferruccio Lamborghini started his business as a tractor maker. The German army destroyed some of Italy’s agricultural equipment when it occupied the country by force after the death of Mussolini. So after the war, there was a severe shortage of agricultural equipment.
The first Lambroghini tractors were built using leftover parts from the American halftracks that had been used by the US army during the war. By the mid-50s, Lamborghini Trattori S.p.A., had become one of the largest agricultural equipment manufacturers in Italy.

This is a more modern version from 1968-69. By this time, they had already begun production of the famous 350 GT. The tractor is a four-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine. It’s beautifully engineered in some aspects. The tractor has 12 gears and is designed for vineyards and orchards.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
