Jay Leno Checks Out 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray

Not a single unit has yet been produced produced yet, but the new Corvette is already a smash hit. It was unveiled last week at the Detroit Auto Show and the Internet was on fire after that. There wasn't a single corner of the online world where you could hide from the sting of this ray.
It is undeniably a stunning car, hugely impressive if you try and compare it to its predecessor. Everybody would have loved to design the new Corvette – it's like the dream job you're into red-blooded American cars.

The job was given to Ed Welburn, the Vice President of Global Design with GM, who has a number of other stunners under his belt. The project was opened up to every designer working for GM, from 10 centers scattered all around the world: Germany, Brazil, India… everywhere.

The exterior team was lead by Tom Peters did a particularly good job, creating a machine that's as exciting to look at as a Ferrari.

Honestly, we're surprised that Jay Leno didn't buy the very first Corvette at auction.
