While Lamborghini held hands with the Duke of Richmond to announce their exotic model lineup for the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS), Ferrari took to the world wide web to put the virtual spotlight on their extensive supercar range that will be showcased at the event.
Celebrating its local dynamic debut is the company’s first V6 hybrid, the 296 GTB, which features a turbo’d 2.9-liter unit mounted behind the seats, assisted by electricity, and has 830 ps (818 hp / 610 kW) combined on tap. The car on display will be represented in Rossa Corsa, with Baby Blue accents, a color scheme inspired by the livery of Colonel Ronnier Hoare’s Maranello Concessionaires racing team of the ‘60s and ‘70s.
Joining it in the paddock will be the SF90 Spider, with its 3.9-liter V8, making 780 ps (769 hp / 574 kW), backed up by three electric motors that raise the output to 1,000 ps (986 hp / 736 kW). The 812 Competizione, packing a 6.5-liter V12 rated at 830 ps (818 hp /610 kW), will be on display as well, and so will the Daytona SP3, and SP38, both of them sketched out by Flavio Manzoni. The SP38 will be entered by a customer, and it boasts several options signed by Ferrari’s One-Off Program.
Completing the modern range will be the Roma, a 2+2 V8-powered coupe, and the Monza SP2, a limited series model from the Icona family. The 599XX and FXX K, designed solely for track use, will also participate in the event hosted between June 23 and 26 in the United Kingdom. And that’s definitely not where the Prancing Horse will draw the line, as an extensive collection of private-owned Ferraris will join the factory cars.
