Jason Statham Drives Jaguar F-Type R Coupe in London: Not the Best Idea

When you have a supercharged vee eight that produces a stunning 542 horsepower, you’d better drive it on a highway. Heck, if you have a racetrack near you, it would be even better. Taking it to the roads of busy London, on the other hand, may not be exactly what you’d call a joyride, even if your name is Jason Statham.

Product placement or just the regular celebrity fanboy factor? You name it; we’re not here to figure that one out. Or are we?

Come to think about it, the picture the actor posted on Facebook probably has something to do with his career after all. Remember the beginning of the seventh installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, right? The villain, Deckard Shaw, opens Furious 7 behind the wheel of this white Jaguar F-Type R. Sure, it’s not the only beast he puts his evil hands on. As a matter of fact, Statham is seen driving a modified Maserati Ghibli and an Aston Martin DB9 throughout the film.

The question remains unanswered, though, is the actor trying to tell us something? The impressive 5.0-liter supercharged machine propels this wild cat to 60 mph from a standstill in just 3.9 seconds. In other words, it sounds much like what a guy like Jason Statham would enjoy driving.

Nevertheless, the Jag is most likely not the actor’s daily driver, considering we know that particular spot belongs to none other than a Prancing Horse. Oh, yes, this former diver and martial artist is all about the Italian revving, with an F12berlinetta sitting in his Los Angeles mansion backyard.

We’re not going to try to compare the two breeds, considering this is not the genuine reason we’re here today. But say we did adventure towards such a comparison, which of the two would make your life perfect, is it the Ferrari or the Jag?
