It's difficult to keep up with the latest trends going on in the custom car world. However, we are confident in saying that color flip finishes have been extremely popular in the past year.
There are a lot of ways to get your car to play light tricks: wrap, plastidip, etc. However, Jason Derulo has gone for the old-school painting method.
For the interior, Derulo says he wanted to go with a private jet interior look. It's got Apple TV, black leather, and some nice diamond stitching. We've seen this kind of stuff before, but mainly in Mercs and Range Rovers. The diamond stitching and perforated leather are both nice touches, but we would have liked to see carbon fiber or more exotic animal hides.
The better-than-showroom look is exemplified by the custom grille. Like most of the trim pieces, it's been painted black, but some of the details got the green chameleon treatment, just like the rest of the body.
For the wheels, Derulo himself chose Savini's 24-inch sporty yet clean design. The only major downside to this build by Unique Rides is that the Lambo-style doors that the customer wanted weren't fitted. Unique also changed the stance, lowering the suspension by 2 inches.
The episode was shot in late 2015, and at that time, nobody offered Lambo doors for the brand new Escalade. Boo and hiss!
So what else can we say about this guy? Jason has made a lot of money as a recording artist, which means he can afford the finer things in life, including two Rolls-Royces if we are not mistaken.
Personal life? Well, after breaking up with Jordin Sparks, he is now seeing 50 Cent's baby mama Daphne Joy. She redefined what it means to be hot and isn't afraid to show a little skin.
