At 24 Jason Joe Desrouleaux already has sold 30 million records and has achieved six Top 5 singles. With that sort of success it’s more than natural the Whatcha Say artist decided he’d walk on the famous and rich path and drive one of the luxury rides. He recently posted an image of his new Rolls-Royce Ghost.
After producing records for several artists and writing songs for Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman, Young Money Entertainment owner Lil Wayne and rapper Diddy, Derulo signed to minor recording label Beluga Heights. Later on the last became part of the Warner Music Group and the young artist released his debut single “Watcha Say” in May 2009. It sold over five million digital downloads, gaining an RIAA certification of triple platinum, and reaching number 1 in the U.S. and New Zealand.

Of course, all sorts of other hits followed and since then Derulo has put together several studio albums, with the latest U.S. album Talk Dirty hitting the market on April, this year.

All these considered, it’s almost natural for this fellow to go straight to the auto shop and get the most expensive car he could find. The Ghost is not that expensive, but it definitely pays off. It’s defined by complex engineering software and technologies which together serve to make driving easier and more enjoyable. At the same time, this Rolls-Royce model delivers power in an elegant, cosseting way that some have described as being designed to lower the pulse.

Designed to compete with vehicles significantly less expensive than the Phantom, such as the Bentley Continental Flying Spur, the car is based on a heavily modified platform shared with BMW’s latest 7 Series. In figures, we’re looking at a 6.5-liter V12 twin turbo engine developing 562 horsepower and 575 lb-ft (780 Nm) of torque.
