So, we were telling you recently about the Japanese market receiving two Toyota Corolla hybrid versions. We now revisit the subject, coming with pictures and prices.
As we were saying, the Toyota Corolla Axio sedan and Fielder estate will benefit from hybrid drivetrains, consisting of a 73 hp 1.5-liter Atkinson Cycle gasoline engine paired to an electric motor producing a combined total of 99 hp. The setup will also allow the two models to achieve a fuel consumption of just 3l/100 km according to the JC08 Japanese fuel consumption standardized tests.
Design wise, the two hybrids will differ from regular Corollas through a slightly redesigned grille with blue Toyota emblem, blue-illuminated instrument panel, unique seat upholstery and an exclusive Light Blue Metallic body color option.
Prices start at 1,925,000 yen ($19,700/€14,800). See both hybrid models in the photo gallery bellow.
