If you’re looking at a European race like the DTM or the BTCC series, all cars practically have the same shape with a few exceptions. That’s not so in the Japanese touring car series called the GT300. There you have a Toyota Prius battling it out against a Subaru BRZ race car, bot having the same restricted output of 300 horsepower.
And now there’s even going to be a 300-horsepower racing car that looks like the Honda CR-Z hybrid 2+2 coupe.

Obviously, many things have changed, and there are now very few stock parts on the car, since the Japanese Super GT is a competitive series. But it looks just like a regular CR-Z that’s been fed too much steroids.

But the biggest change is not skin-deep, as the 1.5-liter hybrid powertrain has been swapped for a twin-turbo 2.8-liter racing V6 engine.
