Japanese illustrator and designer Akihiro Mizuuchi recently finished building a Lego set made out of chocolate. The bricks were made in dark, milk, white and strawberry chocolate to create tonal variation and they form Japanese characters from anime television program. Considering the Danish toy can take the form of several cars, we’re wondering if the chocolate bricks could do the same.
You sad ladies out there, behold! Kids and parents together, behold! Meet one of modern times’ greatest discovery: chocolate Lego. Finished in four flavors and different colors, these bricks will allow you to literally eat your own work (once it’s done, of course). Imagine spending several hours to build up the actual Hansel and Gretel candy house, only there’s no witch hunting you around once you try to eat it.

Mizuchi created a set of precise Lego moulds that turn melted chocolate into edible bricks. According to Dezeen, he used the chocolate-bricks to build figurines in the shape of characters from popular Japanese anime television program called Mobile Suit Gundam. The Japanese designer worked each character in Lego bricks on his computer first, so he could calculate which components he would require and in what quantities. They were build so good, you can even see the Lego logo on the top of each brick.

But the story should never stop here. Imagine the possibilities. Take the Lego Tumbler the Danish company just unveiled or the Mini Cooper set. Why not do the same Lego sets only out of chocolate? We don’t know about you guys, but the instant moment a Ferrari Lego set made out of chocolate will hit the market, we’ll take a dozen.
