Jaguar XFR-S: The BMW M5 Fighter

There can be no denying that the new BMW M5 is a wonderful speed machine, and also better to look at than ever before. The super sports saloon has also moved on from the E60 M5 generation, and instead of the 507 hp 5.0-liter V10, the F10 M5 has 560 hp.

The Jaguar XKR-s, with its heavy supercharged V8 can’t possibly hope to challenge the M5 now. But that’s exactly why the British are fighting back with a new, more powerful and far less diluted car that’s less about being a saloon and more about the power and the performance.

Last month, the production version of the XFR-S was spotted for the first time wearing the body kit that it will use for production. This has completely changed the front bumper, with rounded air intakes that resemble those on the M5 and the Audi RS6.

Further light has now been shed on the XFR-S by this rendering created by Virtuel-Car. It shows some flared wheel arches, a hunkered down body and of course the menacing new grille. The front end looks brilliant, especially thanks to the black grilles and chromework.
