Performance saloons are very popular, especially when they have flowing roofs and flared wheelarches. But performance estates are an altogether different subject. After all, how many customers want to put up with huge fuel bills while caring a load of stuff?
Audi says a lot, and only offers the RS6 as an Avant, but BMW disagrees and has dropped the M5 Touring. Even Cadillac is taking a step away from the CTS-V Wagon.

Jaguar is standing at a crossroads as a company and it has chosen to go forward with its own performance estate. The XFR-S Sportbrake was spotted early last week as it emerged for its first test sessions.

But we doubt black paint and camo wrap inspired you, so we're going to show you something a little better. Khalil Bouguerra has recently rendered the car in a much more appealing light, with elements from the XFR-S saloon.

There's no doubt a 550 PS Jag estate will be cool. But when Audi's monster has 580 and murders the 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, you have to wonder just what the Brits can do.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
