Jaguar today showed us the exciting new front end of their latest sporty creation. It’s the new XFR-S, a 2014 model year sports saloon with even more power than the ‘regular’ XFR. The headlights are from a 2013 XF, the paint is from the XKR-S, but the lower air intakes are all-new and remind us of an Audi design. Still, we just can't wait to see the car as it debuts at the 2012 Los Angeles International Auto Show at the end of the month.

"This year’s Los Angeles Auto show is one of the most significant U.S. shows in years for Jaguar Land Rover as we introduce three breakthrough new products," said Jaguar Land Rover North America President, Andy Goss.

"The new Jaguar F-TYPE, Jaguar XFR-S and all new Range Rover will all make a major impact, specifically in the United States, which will be the world’s largest market for all three vehicles," Goss added.

No official information has been made available, but we expect to see the XFR-S being powered by the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 will most likely produce the same 550 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 681 Nm (502 lb-ft) of peak torque. Expect 0 to 100 km/h to go by in 4.6 seconds, and a de-restricted top speed somewhere north of 180 mph (290 km/h).
