Jaguar XF Sportbrake Ready to Race... Bicycles

Jaguar’s brand new XF Sportbrake will see its first racing action not at the Nurburgring, but in the Tour de France. Two bespoke examples with special paintwork were delivered to Team Sky.
The cars were fitted with custom roof racks, race radios and TVs in order to be able to follow the action and support the Team Sky riders.

Team Sky Sports Director, Servais Knaven got to test out the car with a full rack of bikes and he says it’s really stable on cabled roads, something which we, the motorists, want to know.

At a recent Millbrook test Team Sky Sports Director, Servais Knaven commented; “From the driver’s seat I have to make all the decisions, and fast. I need a car that can drive in all circumstances and I’m really excited about the new XF Sportbrake. I get a good feeling when I drive it. It’s versatile loaded with nine bikes, there is still space and it looks cool. I’d quite like to take it home.”

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
