We already know that the road-going XF diesel, with the 3.0-liter diesel V6 is a very competent car, and in racing we were honestly expecting it to do equally well.
It did do well, winning its class after leading for most of the race. The car was run by a private team, called Carvell Motorsport, which did an excellent job of keeping the 296hp car ahead of its competitors throughout the 109 laps of the race, with the drivers Nathan Freke, Colin White and Rob Carvell taking turns to drive the car.
Throughout the race weekend, the private team got access to Jaguar’s very own Nurburgring Test Center, to make sure they got the most support and the best result possible from the event.
In addition to the racing and the winning, the car looks really good in its ‘racing suit’ and we hope to see more XFs taking part in races as they make for great looking racing cars.
