The Jaguar X-Type was only loved by the people in Eastern European countries that liked the badge but never drove it. We’re not sure if the automaker is willing to put that bad on another car ever again, but Autocar has fresh info on a veritable successor that’s expected to fill the bottom of the range in 2015.
We don’t think this is the actual 3-Series rival, as it’s more of an Audi A3 sedan with British luxury inside. What’s more, it’s going to move itself along using the front wheels and will be powered by 1.8-liter, 2.0-liter and even 1.5-liter engines.

These will be couple to the new eight-speed automatics, but there’s even talk of a nine-speed box. IT will also spawn a number of other variants, including a coupe and even a small roadster.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
