Jaguar Uses the F Word on Billboard

After teaching us how to be good villains, among other priceless pieces of advice, Jaguar’s “Good to be bad” campaign now returns with an even cheekier move, which comes in the form of a billboard.

This, however, is not any billboard, but one that invites drivers to... “F The Meeting”. Before you start making judgements, you should know that the f word stands for the automotive producer’s F-Type. To be more specific, this refers to the F-Type Coupe.

The billboard you see in the image above was spotted by Twitter user somewhere around the UK. Hmm... sure, why not? Skip the meeting and take a longer drive in your F-Type. Just make sure your CEO gets this kind of jokes...

The move, which we find rather amusing, almost comes natural for Jaguar. The company has been showing an... ahem... feline character in terms of marketing over the last months. We’ll remind you that Jaguar picked on Mercedes back in December, releasing a chicken commercial that mocked Merc’s Magic Body Control. The Germans replied with a pretty sharp ad.

Earlier this year, Jaguar used Twitter to inform everybody that Maserati’s Ghibli means “hot air”, reinterpreting the wind-derived designation of the Italian sedan. Maserati didn’t bother rolling up its sleeves.

Perhaps it was about time somebody in the industry kept us entertained. Let's just hope things do not get too far past the line.
