Usually auto show teasers are a foregone conclusion, showing us cars that we've already seen or expect are coming. But Jaguar really needs to play game with us if it wants to change the way we perceive the British brand.
What are we getting at here? It's simple, Jaguar has just teased a concept car called the C-X17, which will be officially revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 9th. Chances are, this concept really is the crossover we've been hearing about, judging from the tall hatchback design and the muscular arches.
It seems the Leaper is taking a leap of faith into the crossover segment, not one that's unassisted by the latest technology. This car is underpinned by a new "highly-advanced, modular aluminium architecture". Those are big words for a concept car, indicating this is going into production some time in the future, probably in 2015 or 2016.
