Now that Jaguar has launched the XKR-S GT, the company wants to develop an entire line-up of limited production hyperpowered models. Jaguar wants to become active in this performance niche, which includes notions such as hand assembly.
The carmaker’s “GT” moniker will be used for the aforementioned hand-built vehicles. Jaguar aims for these to represent a similar offer to Mercedes’ Black Series.
This means that more Jaguar models will get the GT treatment in the future. The company didn’t confirm anything, but the Jaguar XFR-S should be the first to receive the modifications.
It’s not hard to understand that Jaguar wants to be active in all segments of the performance market. Nevertheless, the British company seems to be doing a better job at creating grand tourers rather than speed-focused machines, so this decision doesn’t seem simple to follow.
