Jaguar Releases XKR 75 Limited Edition Anniversary Model

Last week, we reported that Jaguar was preparing a “go-even-faster” version of the XKR Coupe, with the vehicle’s debut set for the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed. Now, the British carmaker has taken the online-wraps off of the car, revealing a vehicle that has seen all its technical areas improved.

The exclusive XKR will be called XKR 75, with the number being related to the marque’s 75 year anniversary and to the car’s 75 unit limited production.

The coupe’s 5.0 liter supercharged V8 now develops 530hp and a maximum torque of 483 lb-ft (655 Nm). This allows the car to offer a top speed of 174 mph and deal with the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 4.4 seconds (a 0.2s improvement). The car has also been fitted with a modified suspension that allows it to offer an improved handling, and with a sports exhaust system that makes it scream like a wild cat.

The exterior of the vehicle has received a new aerodynamic kit, comprising of a front splitter, side skirt add-ons, a rear diffuser and a generous rear spoiler.

The car can easily be distinguished from the standard XKR (if we can call the car so), as it comes dressed in Status Grey and features a set of special decals. The coupe rides on 20 inch alloy rims that house red brake calipers.

The interior of the bespoke XKR hasn’t been neglected either, as it has received a charcoal finish featuring contrasting stitching, piano black trimming and black suede headlining.

The Jaguar XKR 75 will have a starting price of 85,500 pounds (EUR 104,000), with the 75 units of the vehicle only destined for the UK, Germany, France, Italy, The Netherlands and Belgium.
