Jaguar Opens New Winter Testing Grounds in Minnesota

The Jaguar-Land Rover group has really set its sights on expanding and promoting itself all around the world. They already have a dedicated facility at the Nurburgring, where they test all of their cars, as well as a hot weather testing site, in Phoenix, Arizona - now they are building a plant in Saudi Arabia and it doesn`t stop there.

They have also opened a winter testing facility, in the US state of Minnesota, in International Falls, close to the Canadian border. The location was chosen for its very low temperatures, as it is reportedly one of the coldest parts of the continental United States.

The facility features testing chambers, a frozen lake and various road surface types, where Jaguar can test out the effectiveness of their new all-wheel drive, which will be available, as an optional extra, on all future Jaguar models.

The Indian-owned Jaguar-Land Rover group is aiming even higher than it ever did before, and with strong growth from China and the US, they have the muscle to back up their ambitions, and once the new Range Rover becomes readily available, they will be doing a whole lot better.
