When Indian company Tata Motors acquired Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford back in 2008, many feared that the British carmakers will receive influences that will dilute their spirit. Tata proved the exact opposite, with the two new pearls in its oyster benefiting from financial support but not being forced so cope with intrusive decisions and thus growing ever stronger.
However, we are now facing with an, albeit not that important, disadvantage of the takeover - Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) will skip next year’s Detroit Auto Show, as this overlap with the Auto Expo show in New Delhi India, as Automotive News writes.

A JLR spokesman explained that India is a market with a lot of potential and needs the carmakers’ attention. He added that the US marker has been recently used for the unveil of the Jaguar C-X16 and Land Rover DC100 concept, which were introduced earlier this year at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
