The 2020 model year doesn’t bring much newity to the F-Pace, but Jaguar has two special editions to make up for it. The Checkered Flag and 300 Sport are now available to order from $58,400 and $62,000 before destination charge, respectively.
First things first, the 2020 Jaguar F-Pace Checkered Flag slots between the Portfolio and R-Sport in the lineup. This levels up the expectations of everyone, and the Leaping Cat of Coventry doesn’t disappoint in terms of model-exclusive garnish and standard equipment.

Available in Santorini Black, Yulong White, and Eiger Grey, this variant features a sport bumper, gloss-black detailing on the grille, door cladding, side vents, and roof rails. Meshed aluminum, leather upholstery, Checkered Flag treadplates, 18-way electric front sport seats, a Meridian sound system, 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display and InControl Touch Pro infotainment complement the 2.0-liter Ingenium turbo four-cylinder.

The engine, which is good for 247 horsepower on full song, is capable of shooting the F-Pace to 60 miles per hour in 6.6 seconds. Top speed? Make that 135 mph, thank you! Those looking for superior performance can level up to the 2020 Jaguar F-Pace 300 Sport, which packs 296 ponies and 295 pound-feet of torque from 2.0 liters of displacement.

Dark Satin Grey exterior detailing sets the tone, and the finish can also be seen on the rear valance. Lots of badging is also featured, along with three exterior color options: Santorini Black, Indus Silver, and Yulong White.

Even at this price point, Jaguar doesn’t mind charging extra for heated and cooling front seats, heated rear seats, Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist, and Adaptive Dynamics. Given the segment of the F-Pace and extremely competitive German rivals, the 300 Sport could be a bit on the pricey side of compact luxury crossovers.

In production since 2016, the F-Pace shares the D7a vehicle architecture with the XE, XF, and Range Rover Velar. If you wish for maximum suck-squeeze-bang-blow, a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 is also available for the 2020 model year for the princely sum of $80,600 excluding $1,025 for the freight.
