In case anyone didn’t know, according to UK company Sky Travel, the third Monday of every January is allegedly the most depressing day of the year. Fortunately, the pseudoscience didn’t work its sad charms on us today, and the same can be said about British carmaker Jaguar.
Granted, the automaker was preoccupied with the reveal of its new F-Type Reims Edition, a new special edition of the sporty coupe that’s exclusive to the company’s home market and can be had in just 150 examples.

Jaguar calls it the “perfect antidote” to a Blue Monday, and we wonder if the folks from Coventry were listening to New Order’s synth-pop/alternative dance remastered version seen in the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer (the original was Blue Monday 88, both are embedded below) while developing the new limited series F-Type Reims.

Well, enough of the rhetorical questions, and let’s get down to business with the details that make this F-Type a bit more special and worthy of the asking price. Which, by the way, is £58,950 in P300 configuration and £71,450 when selecting the P450 RWD R-Dynamic Coupé.

For Jaguar fans dwelling across the Atlantic, that’s about $80k and $97k, respectively, but it really doesn’t matter that much since the F-Type Reims won’t be available in the United States. Oddly enough, even though its hero color is called French Racing Blue and the name pays homage to the historical race track in Reims, the limited-edition model won’t be available in France, either.

Trivial matters aside, the limited-run F-Type comes with this exclusive exterior shade previously featured on the 2020 XE Reims that was introduced late in 2019. Now it’s appropriately applied on a coupe body style and complements the Exterior Black Pack and the set of 20-inch five split-spoke gloss black alloys quite nicely.

Moving inside, there’s an “Ebony/Ebony” (don’t ask us why they’re writing the same word twice...) atmosphere, and the company also includes the Interior Black Pack, a Fixed Panoramic Roof, or the Climate Pack to justify its claim of bringing savings of up to £4,160 on this special edition. By the way, the heritage-inspired F-Type Reims is already up for ordering, with the first deliveries expected in March.
