If you had about €100,000 to spend on a single car that makes you feel special, what would that be? It doesn't have to be practical or frugal, just something that really gets the blood going on the weekends.
Some people have already decided it's the Jaguar F-Type, the brand new roadster which has the heritage or an icon combined with powerful modern supercharged engines. Sales have swelled the British company's bottom line and now they are pondering variants of the car to attract new customers.
One of the ideas on the table is a targa top model. Design director Ian Callum hinted they are definitely considering the idea but don't have the sales to back another version of the F-Type. Sad news indeed! A rendering of the F-Type Targa could look like will go some way towards alleviating our sorrows.
We think it looks absolutely fantastic, with the character of both coupe and convertible models. Considering Porsche would have you pay €125,000 to get behind the wheel of the 911 Targa 4S, maybe Jaguar could be swayed into selling us a trick roof for much less.
